Leading Edge was commissioned by a UK Government Department to create a publication that would detail the involvement of Government, agencies, and other publicly-funded bodies in supporting businesses in the environmental and energy sectors. The aim of the guide was to serve as a comprehensive resource for companies seeking both financial and non-financial assistance, helping them navigate available support with ease.
Strategic Collaboration and Data Gathering
A critical component of the project involved close collaboration with various government departments, agencies, and public bodies. Here, Leading Edge pursued a structured approach towards the type of assistance available and how to access this by designing a pro-forma template which was distributed to key contacts responsible for individual support schemes. This process was completed over a two-month period.
Compiling and Crafting the Publication
Once the necessary information was gathered, the next step was to compile and structure the publication. This phase was handled meticulously, with an external proofreader enlisted to ensure the accuracy and clarity of the content.
Production and Distribution
In addition to compiling the guide, Leading Edge also managed the production process, including organising a print run of several thousand copies. The decision to handle printing externally was a strategic move that streamlined the entire process, ensuring timely and wide distribution of the guide.
Conclusion and Client Benefits
The project concluded with Leading Edge delivering an insightful and up-to-date report that was well-received by both the client and the businesses it aimed to assist.
