Glynis Henville

I have been at Leading Edge for six years and enjoy working in the friendly environment. My main role is Office Manager, keeping the office running smoothly and assisting the consultant team where needed. My other role is Quality Manager, trying to make sure that we are keeping up to the standard of our ISO 9001:2000 certification. This year we are making a big effort to recycle more paper and the girls are doing better at it than the boys!

Unlike some people in this office, I have no plans to move house but hope to put a bit of time this year into doing up the one I have. I have heard that there is a trend for knocking down interior walls, particularly a dining room wall, but that is going a bit far. I shall just be wielding a paintbrush and maybe laying some laminate flooring. Who says DIY is for the men?

In my spare time I enjoy line dancing, which is a very good way of keeping fit. It is good exercise for the brain as well as the legs, as you have to learn each dance - there is no caller! Contrary to most people’s idea of line dancing, we do very little country and western music at my club. We like to learn the new dances that are being written every month to popular music of all types, from waltzes to reggae.

My husband Robert, Tess the dog and I still have our share in Narrowboat Tamarisk and enjoy taking our holidays on the canal system. It is a great way to see the English countryside as you float by at 3 miles an hour. Sadly though, the share group have decided that it is time for a change and the Tamarisk will be going up for sale in the autumn. Anyone want to buy a narrowboat?
