Robin is known as much for his dry wit and sharp insight, as for his technical advice to the professional, property and construction sectors. He has appeared on TV and as expert witness in court. His advice is widely sought on wide-ranging issues from glazing defects and leaking roof gardens, to Y2K issues in construction. He is the Founder and Senior Partner in Robin Whittaker Consultancy, formed in 1990 and he's also a member of the Construction Advisory Board.

Robin has over 30 years experience of the industry, so is fast becoming an elder statesman. He has been responsible for and associated with major prestigious projects within the UK and internationally, in the commercial, industrial, educational, housing, nuclear power and the chemical and process sectors. His consultancy was the first Incorporated Architectural Consultancy in the UK to gain accreditation to BS EN ISO 9001:1994.
