Tips for a career
Want a job with us?
How do you feel about working in the construction industry? We are looking for people who have a construction or engineering degree, or someone who can add another dimension to our business e.g. IT expertise. But most of all you should want to work in the marketing field. We work on the strategic and research side, not in advertising or PR, although we might do some copy writing if asked.
If you're a graduate, you don't need to have any knowledge of marketing tools now, just a lot of common sense, be pragmatic and have an interest and understanding of behaviour. This will enable you to get to grips with marketing. You can learn more about the subject, once you start work with us. We will send you on marketing courses, leading to professionally recognised qualifications. Internally, we have a mentoring programme through consultants and directors and we follow continuous professional development programmes.
To get an idea of what we do, try "The Marketing Plan, a pictorial guide for managers" by Malcolm McDonald & Peter Morris.
The Interview
We ask you to send a CV and covering letter and then we may get you to fill in one of our application forms which is designed to find out if you really understand what you will be getting yourself into. If we ask you to come for interview you may also have to complete some other working style tests. Typically, the interview lasts for two hours and consists of an initial panel of some of our consultants, and two in depth interviews where your general intelligence and common sense will be tested.
We usually recruit several new graduates, usually in the summer but it may be at any time during the year. At the moment we are specifically looking to recruit a project consultant with a diploma in marketing. If you are interested just send a C.V. and covering letter to Jennifer Pratt, Managing Director, or e-mail us at and we will take it from there.
