About the construction market barometer

The barometer has been running on a quarterly basis since the start of 2008 to find out how construction businesses are dealing with market conditions. The survey is run in association with Construction News and the Chartered Institute of Marketing's Construction Industry Group.

Completed by senior directors and managers from across the whole construction industry supply chain, this construction research survey has become an excellent barometer of the current confidence levels in the industry and the future outlook for the next 12 months. Many companies use the survey indicators in their internal reporting.

In particular, the survey clearly shows how the construction industry is performing in terms of market conditions, sales levels, marketing budgets and headcounts.
