our market research team
The market research team is based at our Wokingham office where they conduct telephone interviews using CATI technology and manage our other research activities.
On a day to day basis, all our researchers work closely with the lead project consultant to identify areas where they can add value for the client. This includes picking up unexpected trends which emerge during the telephone research which can then be communicated back to the client.
Speaking regularly with decision makers working on building and civils projects also gives them a broad understanding of how the construction industry works. This knowledge and experience proves valuable when they are identifying the most appropriate person to speak to.
On each project the research team dedicates time to setting up a rigorous quality checking system to ensure that the data collected is of the highest possible quality. On long term projects the system is continuously refined to ensure the data collection process is as effective as possible.
Here's a bit more about the key members of our team.

Most of my work at Leading Edge involves interviewing architects, contractors and client's customers.
Prior to this, I worked for a number of companies as a customer service representative where a major part of my role involved training new employees with the best techniques to deal with customer calls. These skills have helped me to become successful in my research role and I am also involved in training and developing new researchers up to the required standard.
Outside of work, I spend most of time with my 2 year old son, but when I get time to myself I like to go circuit training and kickboxing.

My role at Leading Edge involves collecting market information from construction professionals through telephone research.
Before this, I worked for a number of companies in a call centre environment, including a major insurance provider, as a line manager for the sales support team. Throughout my career I have developed the skills needed to hit tight deadlines and how to handle and effectively resolve a range of customer service issues. This experience assists me when dealing with a high volume of research calls.
Outside of the office I spend a lot of my time with my two young children. However, when I get the chance, I enjoy walking in the country or improving my garden at home.

I have been working in market research for many years and I am particularly experienced in telephone interviewing work. My experience also extends to face to face in depths, focus groups and telephone recruitment. I was originally trained by Milward Brown, one of the leading market research agencies in the UK.
Although I specialise in business to business work I have also been involved in consumer interviews. I am particularly familiar with the construction and flooring industry having carried out a range of research projects in these sectors.
