A market research team that really understands the construction industry
Our market research team is based at our Hartley Wintney office as opposed to working remotely or from home. From here they conduct telephone interviews using CATI technology and manage our other research and market analysis activities. Having the team based in-house enables us to spot trends as projects progress and we can then refine questionnaires if necessary based on these insighsts.
Speaking regularly with decision makers working in the construction industry also gives our team an excellent understanding of the key issues and terminology used.
On every project, our research team are fully briefed and trained by our senior consultants to ensure the highest quality of feedback is received.
Here’s a little more about the key members of our team.
Claire’s main role is to conduct in-depth qualitative interviews on behalf of our clients in the construction industry. Her recent projects involved interviewing distributors, contractors and end users for a number of building materials manufacturers, contractors and suppliers.
Her background with the market research agency Frost & Sullivan gives her excellent experience in research questionnaire development and interviewing techniques to ensure the maximum level of insight is obtained from every interview. She also spent time leading Frost & Sullivan’s training division developing her project management and business development skills. As a key member of the training division, she was responsible for the Management Training sector and logistics department.
Most of Elly’s work at Leading Edge involves interviewing architects, contractors and other industry professionals for our clients. Liaising closely with senior consultants she works to tight timescales whilst ensuring high quality market data is collected. As she has worked on a number of market research programmes across the construction supply chain, she is familiar with the terminology used in our client’s sectors.
Before joining Leading Edge, she gained valuable experience working for a number of major airline and holiday companies in various customer service and business development roles.
Daren’s role mainly involves undertaking market research interviews for our building products manufacturer and contractor clients. His trade and sales background means that he is already familiar with the language of builders merchants, distributors, specifiers and clients.
Before joining Leading Edge, he was a senior manager at a printing company and has also spent time working in the construction trades giving him a broad working knowledge of the construction industry.
Heather is one of our senior researchers with over 17 years’ management experience and a MBA. Her recent research experience includes conducting in-depth qualitative interviews with senior executives within the telecommunications and housebuilding industries. Her main role with Leading Edge is conducting interviews with senior directors to assist our clients meet their objectives at a strategic level.
In her most recent role prior to Leading Edge, Heather worked as a senior consultant assisting organisations with market intelligence, market research, developing marketing strategies and campaigns. Before that, she worked in senior marketing and management roles at a number of IT and telecommunication companies. She also has experience of working in the manufacturing and retail industries.
